“I love Israel, and I am Staying in Israel”

Shari Arison: “Beyond all the investments and philanthropy that I continue to lead in Israel and worldwide, I want to promote a conversation that is positive, constructive, bridging, and unifying for people, and I will continue operating towards fulfilling this calling – baseless love”.

“After many articles, some of which are accurate and others less so – I would now like to put things in the right perspective and set things straight. First and foremost, I love Israel, and I am staying in Israel. This is my home, and the home of my family.

“Over the years, acting out of my calling, I have led my business companies, and we implemented visions such as Financial Freedom in Bank Hapoalim, Sustainability in Shikun & Binui, Vitality in Salt fo the Earth, and Abundance in Miya.

“In parallel, I created various investments led by my worldview that investments should be made to benefit society and the environment. In recent years, I sold most of my shares in Carnival Cruise Lines, and have remained with only a marginal percentage that does not constitute the controlling core. I have invested in dozens of companies across the globe, out of that same strategy of values-based investments made to benefit society and the environment.

“I invested in the following fields: technologies for education, renewable energy, green infrastructure, climate solutions, and more.

“I decided to sell my operational companies in Israel and worldwide so that I could continue fulfilling my calling, alongside my personal vision of harmonious activity.

“The Arison Group headquarters staff, in Israel and worldwide, continue to work in earnest in both investmetns and philanthropy. We are oriented at creating more investments in the following industries, among others: food tech, technologies that offer solutions for basic human needs, health with an emphasis on preventive medicine, and more.

“In philanthropy, we continue operating in a wide range of channels led by The Ted Arison Family Foundation, which is a privately-held family fund that has to-date contributed over 1.6 billion shekels (467 million dollars) to more than 1,600 organizations, and continues to operate and support society through grants in the spheres of education, sport, culture, art, health, welfare, and research.

“Essence of Life continues to operate regularly, including its own website, Essence of Life radion station, and Mahuti visitors center that offers workshops for personal empowerments and inner peace.

“The nonprofit Ruach Tova continues to connect between organizations that seek volunteers and those who want to volunteer. It is also the organizers of Good Deeds Day in which more than two million people are expected to take part this year in more than 100 countries across the globe. Goodnet, a digital platform for Doing Good, continues to expand the circles of good online, and Design for Change continues to enable hundreds of school children to be social entrepreneurs who are actively involved in the community, while Kulanana operates to create social cohesion.”

Shari Arison added, and said: “Beyond all the investments and philanthropy that I continue to lead Israel and worldwide, I want to promote a conversation that is positive, constructive, bridging, and unifying for people, and I will continue operating towards fulfilling this calling – baseless love.”
