Right in the heart of the Middle East, The Jordan River Village received a major grant from The Ted Arison Family Foundation, to help establish a safe haven for seriously ill children of all nations.
As part of the Paul Newman's SeriosFun Children's Network (SFCN), children suffering from medically life-threatening conditions are received at this recreation village, to spend a week of joy supported by unobtrusive 24/7 hospital-level care.
The village focuses on giving to these children some of their childhood back, with free of charge admittance, offering activities allowing campers to experience success, regardless of their disability. Following this experience, the children are known to react more favorably to medical treatment and are able to address their conditions more positively. (Grant made in 2012)
