Miya's work to improve the Bahamas underground water supply system led to an amazing discovery: 330,000 year old hidden cave!

In routine field work as part of a 10-year water efficiency project in the Bahamas, this spectacular cave was exposed while running excavations to reposition an existing water meter further downstream.

It is estimated that the cave is part of the Blue Ridge (according to Sam Reid's M.Sc geology thesis), and holds high geological significance as it may be up to 330,000 years old, shedding light on the local geological processes.
