Spreading across the globe and taking place in 50 countries worldwide, Good Deeds Day 2014 saw some 550,000 people actively engaging in doing  good deeds for the benefit of others and the planet.

To kick off the event in The Bahamas, initiator Shari Arison headed a group of volunteers to improve the grounds at the Elizabeth Estates Children's Home in NassauThey were joined by a team from the Miya Bahamas office and partner staff from The Water and Sewerage Corporation (WSC), collaborating together on the local mega-scale water efficiency project. The team had already been doing good deeds throughout the week at the home, repainting buildings, tending to the gardens, and bringing in their expertise from the field by reinstalling new lavatories and faucets to maximize water efficiency on the grounds.

Shari Arison and the Arison Group team met with Bahamas Prime Minister, the Hon. Christie Perry and Deputy Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Brave Davis, before they joined the good-doers at the home to help complete the renovations.
