Good Deeds Day 2014 at childrens' home in Nassau, Bahamas

Good Deeds Day was initiated by Shari Arison in 2007, out of the idea that everyone can do something good for the benefit of others, be it large or small. This day has since become an international tradition of good, where hundreds of thousands participate across the world, giving of themselves. In more than 50 countries, people and organizations help according to their own time and skill, improving the lives of their communities by painting, cleaning, gardening, food drives, workshops with the elderly or disabled, sports activities and many other projects that have a lasting positive effect on others and the world at large. Good Deeds Day is organized by Ruach Tova (Hebrew for Good Spirit), under the auspices of The Ted Arison Family Foundation. (Established 2007)
