Good Deeds Day served as a wonderful way to bring a breath of fresh, kind, air to the streets of New York. Blogger Mary in Manhattan reports how people were giving out free hugs, handing out red roses, and being altogether GOOD to each other, while booths were set up in front of a huge stage with tons of entertainment, freebies and celebrity meet-ups promoting  good deeds.

Some of the partnerships included leading nonprofits, such as NY Cares, Mobile Kitchen Classroom, American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Help the animals, and more
