Good Deeds Day is taking over the world!
Initiated by Shari Arison in Israel in 2007, Good Deeds Day has since crossed borders and spread worldwide to be held in 93 countries worldwide in 2017, with millions participants from all backgrounds and ages.
Going global in 2011 with 10 international cities, including many in the USA, Good Deeds Day began uniting people all over the world. In 2012, we reached Europe and teamed up with MTV Global for a six-week-campaign on its online and TV platforms, exposing the message to 24 million viewers around the world. In 2013, 16,000 volunteers from 50 countries took part in hundreds of projects, including a kick off with ABC Network in NYC. Next, Good Deeds Day doubled in reach in 2014, partnering for the second year in a row with ABC Network NYC, and collaborating with leading volunteer organizations as part of a grand scale campaign involving TV, radio, and social media. 500,000 people took part in Israel and some 35,000 globally. In 2016, God Deeds Day initiative won the prestigious award (in the Points of Light conference -a parent organization of all the volunteering organizations in the USA) for excellence and creativity in recruiting and motivating volunteers for helping the society and the environment. In 2017, The Ted Arison Family Foundation's representatives closed the trade day on Nasdaq calling companies as well as individuals to join Good Deeds Day.
In April 2018, Good Deeds Day will celebrate it's 12th year of expanding the circles and growing the goodness in the world. It will be celebrated on April 15, 2018, around the world, and March 23, 2018, in Israel.
