An all-high of 1,300,000 Israelis participated on Good Deeds Day 2016, held in Israel on March 15, joining some 14,000 projects run by nonprofit Ruach Tova.

"Every person can contribute something to society. Today, we're volunteering here to read stories to children," said one volunteer at the Ramlah Central Library, where reading hours were held for children. A resident of a rundown neighborhood now spruced up by Good Deeds Day volunteers, who planted gardens and painted walls, exclaimed "This is amazing. I have lived here for 25 years, and this is the first  time I see anyone do a good deed for others here." At a soup kitchen, volunteers cleaned and restocked supplies, and many others impactful projects were held across Israel, connecting and uniting people of all backgrounds and cultures.
